PICC Holds Press Conference and Lobby Day Urging Legislators to Reject Anti-Immigrant Legislation

On May 4, PICC brought together members of the law enforcement, faith, and social services communities to speak to legislators in Harrisburg about a package of hateful and un-American anti-immigrant legislation that has been introduced in the state legislature this session.

The day began with a press conference featuring Brad Baldia, Executive Director of PICC; the Reverend Sandra Strauss, Director of Public Advocacy for the Pennsylvania Council of Churches; Jonathan Ramos, Retired Police Officer and Former President of the Spanish American Law Enforcement Association; and State Senator Daylin Leach.

The event was covered in the Harrisburg Patriot-News. Click here to read the article.

Later in the day, PICC members visited key legislators in both the House and the Senate to discuss the specific bills in question.
