“From Philly to Phoenix” Rally at the National Constitution Center

Since Arizona’s passage of SB 1070, seventeen other states have introduced similar legislation requiring local law enforcement to check for immigration status. Here in Pennsylvania, HB 2479 starts with the Arizona framework and piles on additional anti-immigrant measures. Meanwhile, E-verify legislation could come to a vote in the House in the next few weeks.

Join us on Wednesday, May 26th at 11:30 am for “From Philly to Phoenix” Rally at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia (5th and Market). Stand up against against proposals that would require our police to engage in racial profiling and damage community trust. Say no to error-ridden worker databases like E-Verify. Give a strong send off to a delegation of activists traveling to Arizona to provide support on the ground. Call on Congress to act and President Obama to deliver his promise of Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
